12-17-17 2 Samuel 7:4-16 — King David decided that it wasn't right to dwell in his mighty palace while God still only had the tabernacle, so he told God, "I will build You a house." God's response was surprising. We learn that God does not rely on us to build Him a house. Instead, He is the one who can build our house, our legacy, and see to it that our children and their children fear Him. Are you letting the Lord build your house?
12-10-17 Malachi 3:1-5 — In this prophecy by the prophet Malachi, it is promised that God would send his messenger to fix their problems. This gives us great hope, but also serves as a warning. Perhaps it isn't our problems He will fix, perhaps we are the problem He will need to fix. Also included is a poem read by our piano player Robyn. It also challenges us to serve wholeheartedly.
07-23-17 1 Corinthians 11:17-32 - This Sunday we celebrated the Lord's Supper. We have a tendency to write this all-important meal off as "just a symbol" but the very thing it symbolizes makes this ritual so important. It was God who had a right to be angry with us, and yet He's the one who bridged the gap and reached out to us at great cost to Himself. I hope this sermon will help you see the Lord's Supper in a new light.
01/01/2017 - Not a part of any series, I felt the Lord telling me to preach on renewal for the new year. Nehemiah left a job of great status to help rebuild the wall in Jerusalem. A part of that rebuilding was the most important rebuilding of all, the spiritual rebuilding of the people.
